It’s true that Cambodian cuisine shares common dishes with its neighboring countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, China, even India, and is influenced by the remnants of French colonial days.  Khmers, however, had found creative ways to put in a dash of their style and flavor, making these otherwise familiar dishes into something uniquely Cambodian.

Get ready to have a taste of Siem Reap’s street food, by hopping into a remork-moto, commonly known as tuk tuk, as we pick you up from your hotel.  We’ll go beyond tourist zones for the most enjoyable local street food adventure.  Your knowledgeable food tour guide will lead you to explore Siem Reap’s streets to sample local snacks, such as yellow bean cake or Khmer rice cake.  We’ll check out the tropical fruits in season and let you have a taste of unique fruits such as dragon fruit, lychee, tiny but sweet pineapples, longan, rambutan and mangosteen (depends on season).  Either you hate it or you love it, we dare you to sample the king of tropical fruits – durian (during season).

We’ll take you where the locals meet, eat and hang-out - in a picnic area where endless stalls are set-up in the early evening.  Walk through the length of the street and explore various stalls selling fruits, snacks and cooked food, clothes, homewares, kitchen wares and everything in between.  Eat snacks the Cambodian way and if you’re up for an adventure, try out a variety of exotic snacks such as fried tarantulas, crunchy crickets, frogs, fried scorpions and duck eggs.  Bring out the foodie in you by picking from a variety of dishes such as skewered barbecue meat and fish, Khmer fried chicken, green mango with chili and salt, savory jackfruit and sweet mangosteen.

Fabulous, not to be missed

Probably the highlight of our time in Siem Reap. Loads of fun trying weird food including grasshoppers, beetles and spider. Loved the frogs kegs and sticky rice. Sat was our guide and was a lovely guy, lots of jnowlwdge and fun to be with. Mr Crab our tuk tuk driver did a great job too. Best lead up to NYE ever!

Sath and Mr Crabs tuk tuk tour

A fantastic trip to the night market. Real Cambodian style. The food was excellent, lots of sights and activity going on. Our guide Sath was super good, friendly and informative and knew all the best spots at the market. Mr Crabs the tuk tuk driver was great as well in his comfortable tuk tuk. Highly recommend this tour.

Foodie Tour you'll Love

First night in Siem Reap and a fantastic tour with Sath and Mr Crap the tuk tuk driver Even a down pour of rain couldn't dampen the night From the beautiful park to the night markets the experience was magical. The tastings of so many types of food was not for the faint hearted..crickets and frogs to name just a few...great tasting crab and chicken on sticks with yummy sauce and little morsels wrap in coconut leaf. A word of warning...be really hungry before you set off on this tour Seth was so knowledgeable about Siem Reap..the past history and also the day to day life's of the people....also he was a great foodie and could explain what a dish was and how it was made ,Book this tour for a night to remember you won't regret it

Sath is the real deal!

Sath was amazing. As was our Tuk Tuk driver, Mr Crab. Sath made sure I had a great time, taught me so much, and was very generous and kind. If you are in Siem Reap, and want a food tour, or any kind of tour, be sure to seek him out. He was great, and we had so much food I think I gained 17 lbs!. 10/10, highly recommend!

Prepare for a full stomach with a great sunset with the best tour guide!

Ty was amazing. If I could give 10 stars, even 100 I would. He ensured I ate so so much and got everything out of my food tour visit I possibly could. In addition to that, he took me around the royal palace and parks, I was not expecting that. It was such a pleasurable added bonus. He showed me my first bat ever and small fried frogs. I did have food concerns because I am a pescatarian, and Ty understood that completely. The Tuk Tuk drop off and pick up was such a breeze. He was punctual and very polite. I hope to get him again on my trip. Thank you, Ty!

I wish I had been on the advertised tour!

I was very dissatisfied with the tour. While the visit to the local food Market was good the rest of the trip did not meet the advertised tour. Many features and tastings weren't provided. I read the website description again after finishing the tour - I wish I had been given the advertised tour and not the one I went on! Apparently the romantic dinner at the deserted hotel restaurant at the end of the 'street food's tour is also part of the 'product'.

One of the Best, Non-Touristy Food Tours Ever

If you are considering going on a tour with Sath, absolutely do it. Not only was Sath flexible in changing the itinerary to match our preferences, but he also told us much about Cambodian history and culture. He was warm and friendly and fun: making this one of the most real, down-to-earth and non-touristy food tours I’ve ever been on.

Great food tour

I did this food tour my first evening in Siem Reap as an introduction to the city and to Cambodia. It’s always true when visiting other food cultures (especially if you don’t speak the language) that it’s scary to explore local street food on your own—you don’t know what things are or how you’re supposed to eat them. Going with a local guide solves that problem so you can be immersed in the authentic way of eating. Green Era and my guide Sath were great. I can’t tell you how full I am????, and I’ve got little bags of lots of things to take back to my hotel! Also, I like that this tour starts at 6:00 (some others start at 4:30), so I could do it after my flight arrived. And it was fun to be driven in a tuk-tuk!

Food Tour Fun

This tour far exceeded expectations. In addition to the food, we learned much more about the Cambodia history and culture than anticipated. Voath was such a friendly, fun guide and we are so glad we started off our Siem Reap experience here.
