Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Reap for the scenic, 2-hour trip to Phnom Kulen Mountain, passing a landscape of tropical forest and rural communities in your air-conditioned vehicle.

The first stop of the day is a hilltop temple, where you’ll find a massive reclining Buddha carved directly into a sandstone boulder. Next, head to the River of a Thousand Lingas, exploring a riverbank adorned with ancient carvings of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Cool off at another sacred site, Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, which tumble into a wide basin that’s ideal for a midday swim or wade. Throughout the day, the guide will help bring the ancient sites to life by explaining their significance and symbolism, and you’ll have time to purchase lunch at a local restaurant before the return trip to Siem Reap.

Amazing day trip!!

Our tour guide , Voath, was incredibly skilled at giving our family a crash course in Cambodian history as we drove to the sites. He knows so much! He also gave us a much deeper understanding of the religions that are important in Cambodia. This was all while visiting some very special sites on the mountain. We also enjoyed the air conditioning of a private van. Voath was also an excellent photographer and captured some of the best shots we have from our trip. We would highly recommend this tour!

Loved it!

Our tour guide was Voath and he was amazing!! He really took the time to teach us about the different areas of the tour. He was so knowledgeable. I prefer taking a tour like this rather than going alone so that I can really learn about the culture and location through the tour guide. The tours also come with an air conditioned ride and you’ll def need it going up to Phnom Kulen. It was cool to venture out of the main city and up the mountain to see the waterfall and river, it’s a must visit! Bring some cash to buy some local handmade items along the way.

Fantastic half-day tour!

Great tour! Our guide Voath was friendly and factual and even acted as our photographer at points which was very appreciated. We explored 1000 lingas, Resting Buddha and Phnom Kulen Waterfall. The tour was half the day which was enough time to explore and enjoy these places.
