Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by Private Car or Minivan (5h)

Outstanding service and great value for money. Our driver Mr Cake was knowledgeable, providing good information about the route taken and other cultural aspects relevant to the areas travelled though. He was attentive to our needs on the journey and his minivan was pure luxury.... clean, air conditioned, reclinable seats, spacious etc.

In August 2025, my family of four booked private transport from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Our driver for the journey was Mr. Cake—an outstanding guide and a truly remarkable individual. He was deeply knowledgeable about Cambodian history and culture and easily answered every one of our questions. We genuinely enjoyed our conversations throughout the drive. Mr. Cake was also incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. When we asked for clean restroom stops, he ensured we had access to spotless facilities. When we wanted to experience authentic Cambodian local dining, he took us to a charming spot with bamboo huts for shade. The meal was delicious, genuine, and a fraction of the cost of a fancy restaurant. Thanks to his hospitality and insight, the long drive became one of the highlights of our trip. Excellent transfer with Piseth! Everything ran smoothly with great communication and friendly service. I was picked up from Phnom Penh airport and taken directly to my hotel with a rest stop halfway through the journey. The car was comfortable and air conditioned with lots of space. The scenery was beautiful and we stopped to see an old bridge from the 12th century. I felt very safe as a young female solo traveller. Thank you for a good transfer - I highly recommend.

Mao was our driver and we enjoyed the journey with him. He spoke good English. He turned up early at the hotel to pick us up and we were in a minivan which we had all to ourselves. We had a good chat along the way and stopped at the usual PP to SR points for photos, comfort breaks and food. The journey itself did not take as long as we expected. We had already booked flights to return to PP from SR, but had we not have done, we would have taken the road trip back as well. Mao could not have been more helpful, and through him we also had an easy time of travelling around Siem Reap and the surrounding area over the five days we were there. Thanks Mao and Pich. This was much better than expected! Driver was there bang on time and took time to stop off at the spider market, a lovely spot for lunch and the oldest bridge in Cambodia. Car was nice and spacious and very comfortable with reclining seats and fully air conditioned. Highly recommended!
