Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Phluk Half-Day Tours from Siem Reap (4-5h)

Ich habe einen spannenden Ausflug erlebt, der mit schönen Erlebnissen, netten Leuten und schönen einzigartigen Kulissen verbunden war. Es hat mich aber auch nachdenklich gemacht und mich gelehrt, die Dinge die ich habe mehr zu schätzen. Unser Guide Mr. Sophea war sehr Redegewandt und witzig, er hat uns viel über das Land Kambodscha und über Tonle Sap/ Kampong Phluk erzählt. Auch sein eigenes leben und seine Erfahrungen hat er mit uns geteilt. Da ich alleine unterwegs war, hat er meine Fotografen Rolle übernommen. :) Die Schule hat uns eingeladen ein bisschen mit den Kindern zu sprechen, sie haben uns mit dem gelernten Vokabular ausgefragt und sich riesig darüber gefreut. Am Schluss der Reise, haben wir auch noch ein schwimmendes Restaurant besucht. Ich würde den Ausflug nur weiter empfehlen und besonders mit Mr. Sophea!

We highly recommend this tour. Mr. San was a highly informative and passionate man who gave powerful insights into the Cambodian culture as well as this particular lake and community. Cannot recommend enough. Definitely worth doing the extra leg in the small local boats.

We loved the tour. It shows how people live on a small village in Cambodia. Also, the trees in the water are very interesting. We recommend it this tour.

Sorphea gave us excellent information including sharing stories from his own background which made our tour so much more personal and real. He was knowledgeable, caring and nice.

I would highly recommend this tour to gain a good understanding of the Cambodian way of life. Mr San (his preferred name) is a passionate guide and shares with us how tourism can help lift the living standards of the Cambodian people. During the tour, he showed us how the young children in the community spend their time in school. We also get to catch a glimpse of how locals go about their everyday lives. I am glad to have joined this tour and know I have helped the locals in some small way by supporting their schools and their businesses.

Nak was my private tour guide on this trip with Green Era Travel. He was knowledgeable, helpful and truly a nice guy. I booked the small group tour but got lucky and have the private trip to myself. The van he and the driver picked me up with was comfortable. We, first, stopped at a wonderful viewpoint and then proceeded to the temple atop the holy mountain with the reclining Buddha. I got the firsthand view of the wonderful culture that is influenced by Buddhism and Hinduism. We wandered around the temple complex and see different things with significance religiously there. I got a blessing from the monk and viewed the beautiful Buddha carved on the rock. We proceeded to the river with lingas and then to the pretty waterfalls. Along the way, Nak told me a lot about the country history, beliefs and current economic and political climates. I’ve learned a bit from this experience. And that’s why I like to travel. It’s an opportunity to learn and grow, especially when you are out of your comfort zone. The waterfalls were separated into 2 levels. They are different and both beautiful. I didn’t swim in it- although climbed rocks and got some great pictures Nak helped took. He was very patient and helped with my bag at times. We stopped for lunch afterwards and then headed back to the hotel. It was a good day and a great way to see more of Siem Reap and the surrounding areas than just Angkor Wat. I enjoyed the trip with him and would recommend it to my friends and family.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It’s wonderful to see the “real” country and people have of Cambodia. The market and floating village are extraordinary!
