Lovely visit to mountains and jungles

Great to see the waterfall and to swim beneath it. Also enjoyed the walk through the jungle along the river and seeing the reclining Buddha statue. We had Marin as a tour guide who was very nice.

Great experience at Ankor Wat

Our lovely tour guide Choub and driver picked us up directly from our hotel in Siem Reap and drove us from temple to temple in Angkor Wat. As we didn’t realize how big it was it was so great to just jump in an aircon car in between each temple and escape the crazy heat. Our tour guide had previously been a monk and was very knowledgeable about temples. They even stopped off at a restaurant for lunch! We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

Half day tour in Kompong Phluk and Tonle Sap

This was a very nice half day trip (around 4 hrs door to door). Everything was executed well, and the guide, Reem, was both positive and very eager to inform us about anything we wanted to know, from the construction of houses in the village to some of the history leading up to present-day Cambodia.

Was a rainy day visit

We were disappointed as the morning saw a heavy downpour, agent came at 4am , airconditioned minivan, just 5 enthusiasts. Our lovely hotel, eOcambo esort and spa packed a generous breakfast to go.Throughout the wet tour, our Green Era agent tried hard to keep the spirit up by enthusiastically explaining the cultural and historical aspects of Angkor Wat and Bayon Temples , etc as detailed in package. Lots of photo opportunities, our agent ,San, was particularly helpful in assisting the photo taking and sending out to us.The wet day was only worsted by the expensive lunch with medicocre food. Very disappointed with the lunch experience.

Visit to Angkor wat

The guide San was quite fun, he took us lots of pictures in the best places and made the tour seem short and fun. San was very helpful and keen on making the experience fun to us.He is very proud of showing Cambodia’s real life and struggles.I’d say some more historical content and context would have been needed. Specially if you don’t come with previous notions of the temple or historical context.

Singapore,

2 days customized small and grand circuit tour

We had Mr Choub as our tour guide and Mr Pheap as our driver. Very friendly people always greeting us with big smiles. If you are looking to take amazing instagram worthy pics, and a jovial guide that goofs around without boring u with too much history, Mr Choub will be the guide to look for. He knows exactly where are the good photo spots and beat the crowd to it. We have lotsa good photos thanks to him.! He gave us ample of time to enjoy the temples and never rushed us to the next destination, very flexible with the itinerary and our request too (I.e booked apsara performance tickets for us after the tour, brought us to local store to buy the famous kampot pepper) We’ve also learnt some history of Angkor wat from Mr Choub. We realized that a lot of temples in the small / grand circuit stems from Hinduism background, hence there were a lot of carvings on the temples depicting Hinduism teachings / folklore. A lot of explanation from the guide was focused on the shift of Hinduism to Buddhism in Cambodia, some brief history of the temples and the life of the people around the area. If you are really a history buff that wish to relate everything you see with a piece of knowledge, I would suggest that you google up some Hinduism folklore such as the “Samudra manthan” and “lord Rama and Hanuman” as a lot of temples had carvings based on these 2 folklores. Fortunately I’ve been to India and other countries with Hinduism influence hence I was able to catch on to Mr Choub’s brief description of the carvings. I understand that due to time constraint, it is impossible for any guide to go in-depth to all the details. But for my friend that is unfamiliar with Hinduism, there are a lot of guessing and googling on her end. The restaurants we were brought to during our lunch breaks also cost twice as much compared to street side restaurants. Overall, still an informative tour, learning in comfort. (We were chauffeured around in a comfortable car with free flow of cold bottled water throughout the 2 days). Just on a pricey note.

Tolle Tour und toller Guide. Die Tour Dauert ungefähr 10 h und bietet viele Tempel (unter anderen auch den, welcher bei dem Film Tomb Raider vorkommt).
