Itinerary

The guide will pick up you at 8 am from your hotel and we will start this day with exploring the temples of UNESCO listed Angkor National Park, the World Heritage site and it's the World Largest Religious Monument. Pay the entrance fee on your own account at the ticket office where we will stop for you to buy one and make your way with the guide to the first stop at Angkor Wat to visit the largest and most impressive of all Angkor temples, considered among one of the 7th Wonders of the World.

Angkor Wat was built between 1113-1150 AD and dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It's the best preserved of all the temples. Its layout and its scale are simply breathtaking, the wall surrounding the enclosure measures 1,000 by 800 meters and the moat, said to represent the oceans of the world is 200 meters wide. Angkor Wat is an architectural allegory of the mythical Mount Meru in the center of the world (Himalaya). This amazing temple homes the longest continuous bas relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls.

We also explore the Angkor Thom complex. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. Inside the walls the king, his relatives and officials, military officers and priests took residence, the rest of the people lived outside of the great enclosure, between the two artificial lakes. Our visit will begin with the South Gate, a beautiful introduction to Angkor Thom with well-restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge. Inside the complex, we will first visit the Bayon with 200 endless smiling faces. This temple mountain situated in the center of Angkor Thom City where sets the Bayon apart from many other Angkor monuments and we will continue to the Elephant Terrace, which owes its name to its outstanding depiction of these animals and the Terrace of Leper King, which presents a magnificent sculpture, popularly known as the leper king and then we continue the tour to Ta Phrom was a monastery built by the king Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother as well as a school.

Ta Phrom has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you will climb through the dilapidated stone structures you will see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. At every turn you will expect to see Indiana Jones (Lara Croft) step out from behind a fallen pillar around you.

This tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel or any requested drop off point within the city center.

Amazing Day at Angkor!

Our tour guide Sath and driver Mr Sim were the best guides today! We were picked up promptly in the morning and driven to get our entry tickets. Along the was Sath explained what would be seeing then found us the perfect spot along the old moat wall to wait for the sunrise. I would never have thought to sit there to get the most incredible views. We then went inside for more pictures. We asked to go to Ta Prohm where the trees grow up through the temples next while it was cooler and less crowded. Sath was able to explain the ongoing rebuilding that is happening there and was happy to show us many great photo spots. We were then taken for a rest stop and restaurant with great food! On to 2 or 3 more sites including the incredible Bayon complex. Mr Sim was always waiting and ready each time we were to move on with cold water and cold towels at the ready. We were able to setbour own pace and length of the day. I would highly recommend Sath and Mr Sim for your visit!

The Angkor Wat tour is a unique place and a great English-speaking tour guide will help you get that awesome experience.

The tour of Angkor Wat was a unique experience for me. I chose to visit the place because it was historically significant for many reasons and I am a person very interested in history of different people and culture. Nowhere else in the world will you find a hidden treasure like Angkor Wat. We had a very knowledgeable English-speaking tour guide named Bunrong. He gave us guidance on what to expect and helped keep us safe from exhaustion. He provided us with cool water throughout the tour and with cool face towel to refresh ourselves. He gave us enough bathroom breaks and allowed time for some souvenir shopping. He gave us relevant information on Hindu beliefs and mythology to understand what we were looking at in the temples. He answered our questions such as the water supply source for the moat around Angkor Wat. He also offered to take some of our photos. He checked in with us whether we were still ok with the walking and climbing the towers. He is a great tour guide for anyone interested in Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat is an amazing place to visit with a knowledgeable tour guide who is helpful, friendly, and respectful.

I enjoy going to new places where I’ve never been before and which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Angkor Wat is such a place that interested me to visit. It’s my first visit to Cambodia and I want to see an amazing place such as Angkor Wat. I went on the tour with my wife. We both enjoyed the tour because we had a very good guide. He was very knowledgeable about Angkor Wat which he readily shared with us. He was very considerate because I had a knee problem. He made sure I’m not exhausted from walking too much or climbing the stairs too much. He also provided cool water and cool face towel to refresh from the heat. He explained very well in English. He answered questions that we asked. The tour was better because we got a very knowledgeable tour guide who was also helpful, friendly, and respectful.

Great Tour but avoid the tourist restaurant.

Family and I did a private day tour of Angkor Wat and had a great time. Our guide, Bunrong, was super helpful, informative, and flexible. We had young kids with us and he was fantastic with them, and he understood the need to change plans when it was necessary. We did not enjoy the restaurant, Krousar Khmer Restaurant, which I’m guessing was chosen by the company. The restaurant staff scammed us (and others that I witnessed) out of some money. Highly recommend future customers to not agree to that restaurant. Other than that, the tour itself was amazing. Definitely hats off to Bunrong!

Day trip with local guide Sophy and tuk tuk driver Mrs Channy

Sophy our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and took us on a brilliant tour to Angkor Wat , Ta Prom and the Bayon temples. He explained the cultural history and gave us good insight into Cambodian religious history. Our driver Mrs Channy met us with water and cool flannels after each temple visit which was much needed before we set off again on the tuk tuk. Would definitely recommend Sophy and Mrs Channy.

First class service

San was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable and passionate about Cambodia’s history. He was great with our 6 year old son— kept him engaged through the temple visits. The fresh cold towels after each stop was a nice touch and highly appreciated. 100% recommend this tour.

Amazing experience, tour for 5 people

Visiting Angkor Wat was a truly breathtaking expierence. Our length of our visit was 5 hours and we all felt that was just right. The driver Mr.Heng kept us hydrated and allowed one of our members to stay in the AC van when the heat was too much for her. Our tour guide Sophy was friendly and suggested places to take pictures and even helped us take great group photos. He didn't rush us as we observed our way through the 2 temples.

Phearom the best driver

What an amazing experience and Phearom our driver certainly looked after us. He drove us from venue to venue and gave us an insight on the temples. He was very patient and was a very safe driver, constantly giving us drinks and cooling towels for our comfort.
