Such an immersive and lovely experience. The floating villages and the canoe trip was especially beautiful and peaceful. We felt very honored to see this village and be allowed to pray in their temple. Our guide was very informative.

Our guide was Sath and we truely can recommend him. He knows the history very well and explains it in a vivid way. His English is very good. He showed us the best places for photos and was always friendly and in a good mood.

11 contributions Mr San and driver took us on a half day tour to Kompang Phluk including a boat trip on the river. Really well executed and learningful trip. Maybe a little hectic with a lot of quick stops from time to time and also a lot of verbal information. But all in all a very good day. We really appreciated Mr San’s friendliness and knowledge.

Wir hatten heute eine Tour mit einem Tour Guide namens Sun. Er hat uns die Tempel gezeigt und er hat ein enormes Wissen über die Tempel. Es war super !

This was a great way to see the temples and soak up the history. Our guide immersed us in the history of the kings and rulers and changing of the religions - a very informative couple of hours.

Our half day tour of the floating village was very interesting as the water levels were not yet high enough for the village to be floating. This enabled us to see what life in the dry season is like, and we can only imagine the vast change the next few months rains will bring. Our guide, Sorphea, and driver were polite and friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. The tour of the local market prior to visiting the village and lake was fascinating.

This tour is definitely one not to miss during the wet season. We went on this tour mid May and it hadn’t quite rained enough for the full impression of life the lake in stilt houses. Nonetheless, the tour gave a good idea of what it might be like when the water is high and the vast open endless views on the lake were absolutely incredible. Samun was accommodating and informative on the tour and gave us options to walk through the village to the boat instead of driving, so we could take it all in.
