I had some trouble with a booking caused by a mistake by me. I contacted Green Era Travel to find a way to fix this issue and was helped very quickly and very efficient . Our guide Mr. Nak was a pleasure, he was living as a monk previously and really knows a lot about Cambodian history, politics and current events. It was wonderful to engage in a conversation with him and learn about a local’s opinion. The tour was a short way of seeing unique aspects of Cambodia’s countryside villages especially the famous floating village. A relaxing canoe trip on the Mangrove forest was additional $10 and not to be missed. Mr. Boreay our driver was also very professional and ready to greet us with cold water at every stop.

Amazing history and feats of engineering in the Siem Reap reserve of temples. Our tour guide truc aka chup chup was a most enthusiastic, energetic, proud and knowledgeable tour guide. The tour provided a great snap shot of the temples which also included Angkor Wat and the Angelina Jolie Tomb raider temple Ta Prohm. As an older couple on a very hot day we found the walking and stairs quite physical so ensure you are well hydrated and have comfortable protective wear. Some temples require ladies to be suitably covered up so ensure you have the correct attire. For us this tour gave ample time to explore. The entry fee to the park was $US37 for the day and they did accept VISA card. A wonderful tour of course pending weather.

We went today on the afternoon tour (14pm) to visit the village with a boat and it was very beautiful and enjoyable. Our tour guide Choub was really kind and told us a lot about his culture and the way of living of the the village people and how they make a living by fishing from generation to generation. For only $5/person we then went on a little boat without motor to visit the mangroves. I would recommend it so you can see another type of nature and enjoy the calmness of it. After that we went on land to visit a village, beautiful with a lot of colors. The local temple is also full of colors and shines from afar. In all we had a lovely time and we recommend to do this tour via their tour guide company to avoid the many scams.

We were 6 people on the tour with Choub, a local guide from Green Era Travel. He has been showing tourists around the Angkor Wat area for 9 years. The place seemed very busy with many tourists but he planned a day to make the most of less crowded areas and was always able to lead us to quiet shady places for his story telling. He also pointed out the best places to stand for photo shots and scheduled in toilet stops at a clean uncrowned venue. We learnt a lot about Cambodia past and present and the particular significance of each temple or site we visited. His humour and good nature made the day easy for us all. We were also glad we had the covenience of the air conditioned mini bus where we were greeted with cold bottled water and towelettes on each return. The tour was the highlight of our trip to Siem Reap.
