Small-Group Explore Angkor Wat Tour with Guide from Siem Reap (6-7h)

A great tour. We were picked up as planned in the morning and went to a few other hotels to collect a few others briefly. We all headed to Angkor Wat, a very impressive sight. Along the way the guide "Hok San" told us a bit about himself and the country. His English was clear to follow. He knew great spots for epic photos which other guides did not seem to be wise to. He is an excellent photographer too and we got some good couple shots. He was very willing and forthcoming with answering questions about Cambodia life and history on top of his knowledge about how the sites were built and their historical context. He organised the time well between the sites we visited. The majority was at Angkor Wat, the biggest site but we had plenty of time to see Bayon temple too which is a favourite of mine as it feels more intimate and the "giant faces" are so friendly looking. After Bayon, we had a good lunch in a well presented restaurant with flavourful food and it wasn't too crowded. We then visited Ta Phrom, which made a nice contrast from the other temples as it has not had the vegetation that has overgrown it in places removed. It's famous for being in the Tomb Raider film and Hok San again knew great photo spots and explained all about the imagery and history. Hok was very flexible about the rest of the day and gave us the option of waiting to see the sunset at a particularly good site but we had already done that and chose to head back very satisfied. This was great tour of Angkor Wat and felt I saw the best of what it has to offer in one day. Our guide, Samnang, was helpful and informative.

Mr Sokvichet Chin was our tour guide for the day. he speaks well and is very knowledgeable about the culture and the history of siam reap and cambodia. he was very informative and definitely taught us alot about cambodia. on top of that, he was very helpful with my dad whom had difficulty (due to a previous surgery ) with the stairs at the temples at angkor Thom and angkor wat.he is also an excellent photographer ????i would definitely recommend him to friends of mine. thank u for the awesome tour.

Very informative tour with a wonderful tour guide, Vichet who constantly looked out for the best spots to take our pictures. The weather was very hot but our guide kept up his enthusiasm throughout the whole trip. Well done Vichet !

If you're in Siem Reap, this is a must. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were on time and they even stopped at a local supermarket for us to get a quick breakfast before heading to the temples. The temple visits were well paced and the small group made it so that we didn't waste too much time waiting for stragglers as is often the case in larger groups. Special thanks to Phearom who was a great guide with lots of insight into not just the temples but Cambodia's history.
