Itinerary

Meet your driver at your Siem Reap hotel, then ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to Angkor Archaeological Site. Purchase an admission ticket before continuing to Banteay Srei, often called the “Citadel of Women.” Here, you’ll see a series of three central towers carved from pink sandstone that have remarkable craftsmanship and detail.

Next, continue back to the main part of Angkor Archaeological Site, pausing in the village of Preah Dak along the way to browse handicrafts made by locals. After a break for lunch (own expense), head to Eastern Mebon, a temple built in the heart of the Eastern Baray, once an artificial lake. The final temple stops of the day are Prasat Neak Pean and Preah Khan, each fascinating sites located off the main Angkor traveler circuit. Great tour

The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. The tour included a car with driver, the guide and free water. It was a very good itinerary and the tour guide and the driver were nice and polite. I was ond day earlier with a tuk-tuk, and even if this tour is more expensive than the self arrangements with a tuk-tuk is worthy!

Shining day in Siem Reap!

We had a lovely time with our tour visiting the Ankor Tom, Ta Prum, Banteay Srei, Angkor Wat Phnom Kulen, Tonle Sap Lake, we had an amazing experience. Our guide, Phearom, he is very good at English and telling about the history, culture and way of life of Cambodia. And also helped us with the picture and we got many good group pictures because of him. We were very happy with him during the trip, we exchanged knowledge and sharing information between two neighboring countries (Myanmar and Cambodia) and lots of laughter the whole day. Because of him, we could make a cost-effective itinerary visit for 2 days in Siem Reap although it was tough but we enjoyed very much. He is friendly and sincere, particularly taking us a good restaurant and advising us to try best Khamar meal and traditional snacks to try. Always inform us the rate in advance before eating and how to bargain things before shopping. We would recommend our guide Phearom and our driver (Mok) to anyone travelling to Cambodia. We learnt from him Cambodia people today are wake up early, work hard double and seedy. We do love to visit Siem Riep again if all is good.

Temple Tour

We had guide Barang with us for the full day tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the region and provide minute details of history not just in the temple premise but during the travel to the temple location. Barang was speaking English quite fluently.

Outstanding Tour

Mr. Sokvichet Chin was our tour guide who did an outstanding job in describing and explaining the history, culture, and significance of the temples, including all the temple specific structures, we visited - he was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions credibly. He was very professional by being patient with all our questions and accommodating by offering to take pictures for us. Most significantly was when he recommended that we should try the sugar palm juice but we embarrassingly did not have the appropriate change. So, he actually bought us the juice, which was above and beyond what we would have expected. We had a tour the day before and this experience is like night and day. He had my name printed and displayed it when he got to our hotel to be ensure that he was picking up the right persons. I am mentioning this because the previous tour guide, instead of us, picked up the wrong tourists. If you are considering booking a tour, definitely choose Green Era Travel and request Sokvichet.

Extended tour of Angkor Wat area temples

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of an extensive area of the Angkor Wat area temples, I would highly recommend taking the time to explore as many as you can, today we visited four diverse temple sites including Neak Pean the healing island on the lake, and the incredible Banteay Srei which predates Angkor Wat and was constructed from a stronger stone so has retained finer detail in its magnificent carving. Our Guide Mr Chet (Sokvichet Chin) was a lot of fun, he had a great knowledge of the symbolism, history and construction of the sites and also went out of his way to make us comfortable. Myself Being a bit jet lagged, I forgot to bring sunscreen and Mr Chet quickly found us a store enroute early in the morning that I could buy some. He also introduced us to local produce and crafts. I feel I learned a great deal with Mr Chet about the fascinating sites and the country in the time the Khmer Empire and also in their more recent history and today.
