Kulen Elephant Forest and Tonle Sap Lake From Siem Reap (6-7h)

This tour was so fun! After seeing Angkor Watt and learning some Cambodian history, this tour was a great way to learn more about daily life in Cambodia. Mr. Nak started the tour with a visit to his hometown market, and let us try local fruits and a local snack and pointed out local favorite foods and ingredients. He then took us to a "floating village" community and told us about the history and way of life. The we went to the Tonle Sap lake and told us about the marine life and some really interesting geopolitics about the rivers feeding the Tonle Sap lake. We went to lunch at a beautiful spot to relax for a little bit, then headed to the Kulen Elephant Forest where we were able to feed, walk with, and bathe rescued elephants!!! It was a blast, and Mr. Nak was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about a lot of the things we had seen in Cambodia even outside of the tour!

Had the most incredible day at the elephant sanctuary and Kampong Phluk! Phy was a great guide and I learned a lot about Siem Reap, the Khmer Empire and the fishing culture of Tonle Sap. But the best part of the day was the elephant sanctuary, they were so sweet and you can tell they are very well looked after! It was an incredible experience and I would recommend it to anyone considering! Shout out to our driver, as it had rained a lot the night before and the roads were muddy and flooded but he navigated it all with care!

Best choice ever, we did the complete tour.We went in the morning at the Kulen forest , to visit the elephants in this wonderful rescue sanctuary, then, in afternoon we went to vist the floating village and the great lake. In both tours we had the best tour guide ever Mister Nak, who explained and showed us the real Cambodian lifestyle, from the morning nature till the every day village life. THANK U NAK U DESERVE IT!

Gran experiencia!! Caminar junto a elefantes, prepararles la comida, alimentarles... todo con un gran respeto hacia los animales. Y después el pueblo flotante. Nuestro guía Phy fue genial,muy atento, en todo momento quería hacernos fotos y videos, muy servicial y dispuesto a hacer todo lo que le pedíamos. Muy recomendable

Mr. Nak was a fantastic tour guide for the day. The elephants were obviously the highlight but the rest of the tour was insightful, enjoyable and interesting. If you're lucky enough to have Mr. Nak then you for sure will have a good day

I've visited elephant facilities in Thailand, India, Kenya and Zimbabwe. This was the best. Excellent guide - we learned so much about some of the complexities of Cambodia history on the way to the forest. Then the elephants were fantastic. I was concerned it might feel like they were being exploited (I've been to some sad elephant sanctuaries) but this was great. We spent a good amount of quality time with them and got some great photos and videos. The lake and stilted village is interesting... first time I had a cold drink next to a pen of crocodiles!! :) Highly recommended.

Una giornata fantastica. Nak è stato una guida perfetta. Ama il suo lavoro ed è sempre pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda. La gita è iniziata nella foresta del Kulen, dove abbiamo avuto il piacere di passeggiare con gli elefanti. Dopo pranzo ci siamo recati presso il fiume Tonle dove abbiamo potuto visitare i villaggi galleggianti. Infine abbiamo potuto vedere da vicino la cultura cambogiana, visitando una scuola. Ringrazio ancora Nak per averci permesso di passare una splendida giornata e l’autista James Bond 009 per la simpatia!

Fantastic excursion great people and informative content. The elephants were so special and the river out to the lake was a site to see. I would recommend.
