Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Reap for the scenic, 2-hour trip to Phnom Kulen Mountain, passing a landscape of tropical forest and rural communities in your air-conditioned vehicle.

The first stop of the day is a hilltop temple, where you’ll find a massive reclining Buddha carved directly into a sandstone boulder. Next, head to the River of a Thousand Lingas, exploring a riverbank adorned with ancient carvings of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Cool off at another sacred site, Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, which tumble into a wide basin that’s ideal for a midday swim or wade. Throughout the day, the guide will help bring the ancient sites to life by explaining their significance and symbolism, and you’ll have time to purchase lunch at a local restaurant before the return trip to Siem Reap.

Lots of fun at the Kulen waterfall

I had a great time! You can put on a traditional outfit that they give you (you need to pay 2$) and take pics. There’s a swing, which is really fun! On the way there, you will see beautiful landscapes. Our tour guide San was awesome as usual, he explained everything we needed to know, took care of us and took great care of our stuffs while we were swimming. Thank you again Mr. San!

Amazing experience. My guide Choub had an encyclopedic knowledge about history of Kulen Mountains. Highly recommended!

Beautiful trip!

The whole day was fantastic. The first waterfall was smaller but then you go down the steps to the big waterfall and it’s amazing! Such a little hidden gem and it takes your breath away! Try to stand right under the water if your feeling brave, it honestly feels so invigorating. Our lovely tour guide Nak came with us over to the waterfall and got some lovely photos! He really wanted us to get as much as we could out of the trip :)

Great time!

We covered so much ground and got to see so much. Tour guide (Marin, I think?) was great and took some great pictures of me to that I could not have done by myself since I was solo. The views from the scenic clifftop and the large stone-carved Buddha are amazing. And the mountain-village by the waterfalls is a little touristy, but still gives an interesting taste of the local culture.
