Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Reap for the scenic, 2-hour trip to Phnom Kulen Mountain, passing a landscape of tropical forest and rural communities in your air-conditioned vehicle.

The first stop of the day is a hilltop temple, where you’ll find a massive reclining Buddha carved directly into a sandstone boulder. Next, head to the River of a Thousand Lingas, exploring a riverbank adorned with ancient carvings of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Cool off at another sacred site, Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, which tumble into a wide basin that’s ideal for a midday swim or wade. Throughout the day, the guide will help bring the ancient sites to life by explaining their significance and symbolism, and you’ll have time to purchase lunch at a local restaurant before the return trip to Siem Reap.

Great tour

The tour is well worth taking if you want to visit places outside Siem Reap. Our guide, Chhoup, was excellent - with high energy, humour and wealth of knowledge conveyed in an engaging way. My husband and I enjoyed the landmarks of the tour, and the company of an insightful and friendly guide.

Lovely visit to mountains and jungles

Great to see the waterfall and to swim beneath it. Also enjoyed the walk through the jungle along the river and seeing the reclining Buddha statue. We had Marin as a tour guide who was very nice.

Amazing tour

A full day trip with our brilliant tour guide San.We took in the 1000 Lingas river, the reclining buddah and the awesome Kulen waterfall. Well worth a visit if you're planning a trip to the Siem Reap area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a very friendly and relaxed experience all round. Recommended!

Brilliant day with lots of great photo opportunities and waterfall swim

This was our second tour with San as our guide and he was fantastic as always! We drove up the kulen mountain and to the amazing views at the top where San took us to a perfect spot for photographs which is often missed by tourists. San told us all about the 1000 lingas and their history and more information about the locals and the area in general. The waterfall was amazing and so breathtaking to be able to swim underneath the falls and it was something I’ve never done before! Once we headed back we learnt about palm trees and the different ways the fruit and tree can be harvested and used for many useful things and we even got to sample some of the foods you can make from it. Overall a perfect tour and absolutely fascinating. I would 100% recommend you ask for San. He is so knowledgeable and he has a very interesting past so it’s really great talking to him and learning from him. He’s really passionate about his country and helping his people. We will be going home not only having had the best tour guide but also having made a new friend. Thank you San did showing us so many amazing things and teaching us so much

So much fun!!!

We had such a brilliant tour today with our excellent tour guide San. The waterfall is stunning and the amount of information we were given around the other parts of the tour were worth going for without the waterfall! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Siem reap! 10/10
