Best way to experience Phnom Penh and history of Khymer Rouge.

Fantastic tour. Great way to experience the sights and sounds of Phnom Penh and some of the history of Cambodia. My guide, Siphat, shared great stories with me and has a deep knowledge and understanding of Cambodian culture and history. Highly recommended.

A warm recommendation for a guide in Cambodia

We strongly recommend a guide named Siphat who accompanied us and guided us in an exceptional way, he was kind and patient with a lot of knowledge and an exciting personal story, we were very sorry to say goodbye to him when we continued on our way

A interesting and heart rendering tour of Phnom Penh

Our guide Siphat gave us a very personal tour sharing his experience during the period 1975 to 1979. Over the 5 hr tour in a tuk tuk, we visited the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Killing Fields and Genocide museum. At times we struggled to understand Siphats English but he was still able to give us a very comprehensive insight into the era of the Khmer Rouge

Royal palace and killing fields trip

Great tour. Great tour guide. I learned a lot about Khmer culture and Cambodian history. Despite all of their recent suffering, they remain very peaceful and loving people.

Highly recommend

This tour was phenomenal. We learned a ton about the history. Personally the Royal Palace is not that interesting and the time spent could maybe be reduced as I feel the main point of these tours is to do the killing fields, (unless it’s something you want to do) but the information our guide had about the history about the killing fields and just generally about his culture and country was so incredibly interesting. We had a fantastic time with Siphat and would both recommend him and use Green Era tours again. Great experience.

Personal tour guide with first-hand experience

Our tour guide Oung was incredible. He first took us to the Royal Palace, then to the killing fields and genocide museum and we finished our tour with a lovely lunch at La Rose Suites. Oung is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge Regime, so hearing from a guide with first-hand experience was very insightful. He gave us plenty of time at all locations, made sure we were hydrated and even helped us find a bus to Siem Reap. Would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing Phnom Penh Citytour

Such an amazing tour, impressive palaces, beautiful pagodas and temples…..WOW Also part of the sightseeing tour is also a visit of the killing fields 15 km outside Phnom Penh. Difficult to describe….. shocking, emotional, sad, difficult not to cry. But our highlight was our tour guide Sipath, he was really competent and could explain everything.
