Absolutely wonderful experience. Well worth the early rise.

Not overly one for reviews, but this trip and guide were so good it was worth reviewing.I booked this trip the day before I was due to go. It is an early start it must be said, and whilst half asleep I was met by my guide Mr. Phy, a friendly local. He was very knowledgeable about the temples in which we visited and always open to questions. My initial thought was I was going to hate the trip due to being up so early but Mr Phy the whole experience a thoroughly enjoyable. The views were amazing and Mr.Phy was happy to stop and take pictures throughout to which there were quite a lot of opportunities. Mr.Phy also at times suggested other photo opportunities which when looking back at made for really class pictures. I would most definitely recommend this trip and the guide who was serious when telling the history but also funny throughout which was a nice mixture, especially with the early start.

Recommend

Well worth going in dry or wet season. Very interesting if you want to see how Cambodians living on the waterways really live.

Great!

My tour with Nak was very enjoyable. He had a lot of energy and was very passionate in the things he was saying. The tour wasn’t too long either, I really enjoyed the experience.

A great exposure to the community that lives on Tonse Sap Lake.

What a learning experience it was to see how the people live on Tonle Sap Lake. The homes are incredible to see. The water level is low in February but our guide walked us through the whole community and shared a lot of information with us about the life of the people. Our great guide was Nak Chung. Ask for him. His English is very good.

Amazing experience and tour.

This was a lovely tour. Our guide, Mr. T was so knowledgeable about the history and the various temples that we visited. It was truly a worthwhile experience. I could not imagine doing this tour without our guide.

You need guide to get the most from your day.

To get the most out of the temples you need a guide. Many people do the temples over 2 or 3 days but for us a 1 day pass was sufficient and our guide, Nak, was excellent, very enthusiastic and made sure we had plenty of time to get the best pictures and help us understand the history behind the three main temples, Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider). There’s quite some distance between each temple so you do need transport and our air conditioned mini bus, with non stop water was a real bonus. It’s worth making clear at the time of booking the details of your pick up times. We had booked the sunrise tour with a ticket pre arranged and understood that we would need a breakfast box from our hotel, however there was another person on the sunrise tour who did not have a ticket, so we had to go to the ticket office anyway and then back to the hotel after sunrise for breakfast ( no need for a breakfast box) and then picked up again after 8am, when 3 more people had joined us and we had another trip to the ticket office. The tour and Nak were great but seek clarity on the pick ups and timings.

Excellent day trip

What a really good day tour this turned out to be and great value at £30 for two. Our guide, Choub was first class - humorous and knowledgeable at the same time. His English was perfect! Pick up and drop off at our hotel was seamless and correspondence before the day spot on. The lunch spot Choub took us to was a fully air conditioned one. Food was great. I had sweet and sour chick and a large (650ml) beer all for $10. Cash no cards so be warned. All in all a fab trip and would highly recommend it. Thanks Choub????

Worth getting up early!

We took at sunrise trip to Angkor Wat and it was well worth it. Watching the sunrise behind the temple is breathtaking. It also pays to go early because you can enjoy exploring before it gets too hot. A remarkable experience...make sure you have your camera ready!
