Had a great time today visiting and learning about the principal temples in Siem Reap. Vichet, our guide, was very knowledgeable, informative and super nice! He also took the time to take us to the best picture-perfect spots in each temple and took pictures for us. I recommend this tour 100%!

We took this tour as a family of 5 - 4 children aged 11-17 and one adult. Phearom did a great job with keeping the kids involved all day long. Trivia on the site, history, etc. We had another person on our tour so only 6 people total. We had plenty of time at each site. We would gather, discuss the particular area, then have some time to explore on our own. We did this at each major area, so we could get the story, then see for ourselves. Phearom gave us options on how long and which sites to spend time at. Great guide with lots of good information about the sites. Plenty of water for in between the sites as well. Highly recommend this tour and this guide!

We did the Angkor Wat Sunrise tour with Samnang. Originally we had another tour guide but he had to leave as his daughter was poorly. He told us where to wait and we sat and had breakfast and about an hour later Samnang arrived. He took us around Angkor Wat and many other close by temples as well as the famous Ta Prohm where Tomb Raidor was filmed. Samnang knew so much about the temples and shared many detailed facts and answered our questions well. He also took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch. We had thought that this tour was a group tour but it was only the two of us, maybe because the tour had not been as busy during low season. Overall it was a great tour with a friendly guide.

I strongly recommend this visit of Kompong Phluk and Tonle Sap Lake to everyone, but you should definitely ask for Mr. Van Lonh to be your guide. Lonh has outstanding English communication skills, a terrific personality, tremendous enthusiasm, and a warm sense of humor that made the day particularly fun. We used Viator/TripAdvisor for all of the tours on this trip of Southeast Asia and Lonh was by far the best guide we had on the whole trip. We learned a tremendous amount about Cambodian history and the people and culture of the areas we visited without feeling we were overwhelmed with detail and information. In addition, when Lonh found out that we were going to be heading to the airport after the outing, he offered to take us to the hotel and even insisted we stop for lunch on the way there to sample more of the local cuisine. The restaurant he took us to gave us the best meal we had the whole time we were in Siem Reap. Although he waited for us while we ate, all he asked for was $10 for the driver -- the same amount we would have paid a cab. By the end of the day, Long was a good friend. He is certainly a tremendous ambassador for his country!

I emailed Green Era Travel before my trip to see if I could just do 2 days of temples with a private guide and then join a half day group tour to the floating village. Was no problem and saved me money since I figured I don’t need a private tour for the lake. They were very helpful and quick to respond to my emails. The 2 days of temples were wonderful! I am glad I spread it out over 2 days since we never managed to go a full day. The first day we got caught in the rain in the afternoon and the second day I was too exhausted by the afternoon to see any more temples. Since my first day was a Sunday, I asked my guide to swap days and do the more crowded small circuit tour on Monday when it’s less busy. I could not have been happier with my guide and my driver. My guide Tuok Borain was fantastic. It was like exploring temples with a good friend who is also extremely knowledgeable about history. His English is great so you can actually have full conversations and a lot of fun.And I usually hate having pictures taken while I’m a sweaty mess but he kept insisting on taking pictures of me with my phone and knew exactly where the best photo spots were. In the end I was so glad he insisted because a lot of the photos turned out great and now I have wonderful memories of my trip. Our driver was also wonderful. He had a cooler in the trunk stocked with water bottles and made sure at each stop that I got a new bottle. I was sweating so much, I must have been drinking 10 bottles each day, haha. And on the first day my phone battery died before the last temple. So the second day he brought an iPhone adapter for his power bank. I had read a lot of reviews and had a very hard time deciding what package to book with which company. In the end, I am so happy with what I chose and highly recommend it. I always knew I didn’t want to explore the temples with a group tour and if I would have tried to explore the temples by my myself, I would have had to have my nose in a guide book the entire time and I still would have missed a lot.

We had an amazing day in Kompong Phluk and on Tonle Sap Lake! Our guide, Vanlonh (AKA George), was a wealth of knowledge with personality plus. Vanlonh’s communication skills are top notch; his smile and sense of humor are a true gift given the hardships his country has endured. Our tour was small (5 people in total), which allowed us plenty of individualized attention with the guide as well as our fellow tourists. Take the optional canoe ride through the mangroves. What an unexpected treat! Our co-pilot melted both mine and my husband’s hearts.

Had a great day with Vanlonh! Great personality, very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we knew EVERYTHING about the village. I have gone on A LOT of tours through Viator/TripAdvisor and he is definitely among the best. Thank you for the memories!

The full day tour through Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat was absolutely amazing! Such majestic beauty! Vann was an outstanding guide who's English is fantastic. He is very knowledgable about the sights, the history and of course the culture. Vann knows the best spots to view and take pictures and has a great sense of humour ???? I would 100% recommend going on this tour.
