We were impressed by the warm and friendly reception we received in Phnom Pen and Siem Reap from our guides. Our guides conducted themselves in a professional and friendly manner. Their knowledge of the geography,flora and history of the country was comprehensive. Our tour guides went out their way to avoid the crowds and show us the special little spots that others didn't see. This made us feel special. Vibol has a great company and professional staff. We were also impressed at Vibol's commitment to his community via his involvement in educational programs for those less fortunate.

Green Era Travel booked my hotels and arranged for a comfortable car and driver to take me all around Cambodia for a month. Mr Vibol (pronounced "Veebol") Thach was caring and flexible. I am an experienced Southeast Asian traveler(12 trips since 1971) and I sometimes I needed extra help reaching Pol Pot's home in the mountains or an obscure temple. Twice, I wanted to stay another day in a place during August, 2014, e.g Phoum Penh, or not, e.g. Koh Ker, and he made all those arrangements quickly. We recently returned from two weeks in Cambodia and Laos on a trip that was custom designed for us by Vibol at Green Era Travel. Vibol is professional, organized and on top of every detail. Our guide in Siem Reap, Mr. Mam, was delightful, knowledgeable and an outstanding photographer too. He lined up all of our shots with details we most certainly would have missed. In Laos we were met by Silasak at Vientiane Airport and spent 5 days with him. He was all we could have wished for in a guide and now he is a friend, too. Having been a monk for 17 years, he had an outstanding knowledge base and with our deep desire to learn everything we could about Buddhism, he made our Laos experience the best it could be. We plan to return to S.E.Asia and for sure we will be booking our next trip with Green Era Travel and Vibol.

I first visited Cambodia in January of this year with a brief stay in Siem Reap to do the touristy thing and see Angkor Wat. I decided to return in April and discovered the REAL Cambodia with Green Era Travel. This time, my tour was customized to my interests and included the many highlights of Cambodia: Bokor, Koh Tonsay, Kep, Phnom Penh (visited the haunting S21 Prison and Killing Fields), Battambang (bamboo railway was a blast!), and Siem Reap (sunset over Angkor Wat!). My guide, Vibol, was very knowledgeable and open about Cambodia's history, culture, and current affairs. And our driver was very professional, personable, and great fun (especially on our day trip to Rabbit Island!). These two made the trip so enjoyable and memorable. I have done a lot of travelling worldwide, and thanks to GET, Cambodia has become my favourite travel destination!
