Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Phluk Half-Day Tours from Siem Reap (4-5h)

Tour was exactly as described. Tour guide Voath was interesting and knowledgeable, and we were well looked after all the way.

First our guide took us to the market in a village. We always enjoy markets in countries we visit, seeing different vegetables, fruits and other foods that local people eat . At the next stop, we came across 9 to 11 years old students learning English at school. They’re very keen to practice English and it was lovely talking to them. Then we went to the mangrove bush in a deep water. I had ride on a little boat row by a lady . She hummed some lovely song while she rowed. The whole tour was very enjoyable and Sotin made sure of it. He was very knowledgeable of history and the area. Also he bought a prawn fritter for us to try at the market and when I didn’t have small US$ to pay for the lady, he lent to me, very good of him to do that . He said he was quite new at this travel company. He will be an asset to the company. We wish him well . Nobuko

Siamo stati a vedere prima il mercato locale, molto suggestivo, e poi siamo andati sul fiume con delle barche per turisti e abbiamo visto delle cose molto interessanti tra cui il paese galleggiante. Our half-day tour to the floating village was a wonderful experience to experience a part of the real Cambodia. Our guide, Mr. Nak, was a passionate, competent, knowledgeable, and friendly guide who shared a world of knowledge with us about our tour. I have nothing but praise for all his effort and support. If you really want to see what life is like for the local people, I highly recommend this tour, and I encourage you to ask for Mr. Nak as your guide. Thank you for making a day so memorable.

I can really recommend this tour! Our guide Nak was just amazing. He provided us with so much information about beautiful Cambodia and its people. He even took us to a local fresh market on the way, which was an experience in itself. The boat ride was amazing and the scenery with all the "floating houses" just wonderful. When you come in the rainy season don't miss out the half hour canoe ride through a peaceful mangrove forest. It's not included, but the 11$ per boat (not passenger) was definitely worth it and supports the local people there. I really have to stress again how lovely, passionate, informative and knowledgeable our guide Nak was, I can just encourage to specifically ask for him.

Very nice tour with interesting stops. Special mention to the tour guide Sath (very friendly, very competent) and the driver Sokhen (very friendly, very safe). Very good time invested. I was able to take many great pictures.

Der Ausflug war großartig. Angefangen mit der einfachen Kommunikation via WhatsApp mit unserem fantastischen Tourguide Sath im Vorfeld und dem sehr pünktlichen Pick-Up am Hotel. Im angenehm klimatisierten modernen Auto haben wir dann unseren Fahrer Mr. Sokhen kennengelernt. Er hat uns die ganze Zeit über sehr sicher und mit bester Laune zu unseren Zielen gebracht. Mit unserem Tourguide Sath hatten wir eine super informative Zeit auf einem lokalen Markt, wo er uns viel über die angebotenen Waren erzählt hat. Anschließend sind wir weiter nach Kampong Phluk gefahren, was wir mit einem Motorboot erreicht haben. Dort sind wir an Land gegangen und konnten sogar eines der Häuser inkl. Schule von innen besichtigen und Sath hat uns viel Spannendes über das Leben dort erzählt. Im Anschluss sind wir Richtung Tonlé Sap See gefahren und konnten auf dem Weg dorthin noch eine Tour auf einem kleineren Boot durch die Mangroven Wälder dazubuchen. Nach der Fahrt auf dem Tonlé Sap See sind wir mit dem Boot zurück zu unserem Auto gefahren. Auf der Rückfahrt wurde sogar noch ein Zwischenstopp an einem lokalen Food Court angeboten. Wir danken unserem Tourguide Sath und dem Fahrer Mr. Sokhen sehr für diesen tollen, informativen und unvergesslichen Vormittag. Mit beiden konnten wir uns gut auf englisch unterhalten. Den Ausführungen von unserem Tourguide Sath konnte man auf englisch problemlos folgen! Zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen!!

Had the most incredible day at the elephant sanctuary and Kampong Phluk! Phy was a great guide and I learned a lot about Siem Reap, the Khmer Empire and the fishing culture of Tonle Sap. But the best part of the day was the elephant sanctuary, they were so sweet and you can tell they are very well looked after! It was an incredible experience and I would recommend it to anyone considering! Shout out to our driver, as it had rained a lot the night before and the roads were muddy and flooded but he navigated it all with care!
