Meet a guide at your hotel in Siem Reap, then begin the drive to Phnom Kulen in a climate-controlled vehicle, passing a series of local communities and lush forest.

The first stop of the day is a reclining Buddha image cut from a huge sandstone boulder in a hilltop temple that draws pilgrims from around Cambodia. From there, continue to the River of a Thousand Lingas, a riverbed that’s carved with images of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Another sacred site is Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, where you can cool off by swimming in the pool at the base of the falls. Throughout the day, take advantage of your time with a private guide to learn about the sites’ historic and cultural significance, enjoying the flexibility to explore each destination at your own pace.

Your tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.

A pleasant day in Cambodia

Sath was our guide he was friendly, and kind and he instantly made you feel comfortable he was able to provide us with complete details regarding questions we were asking I would highly recommend him as your excursion guide, I have traveled all over the world, and it is hard to find people who are genuine. Both Sath and his driver (Mr Samun) carried themselves with utmost professionalism the company is lucky to have them to represent the company. Hoping the best for both of you, Michel

Kulen mountain private tour

Our tour guide was Mr Phy. Great private tour visiting the Kulen mountain, reclining. Buddha, 1000 lingas and the Kulen waterfall. Highly recommend this tour. Transport for 4 people was in a large and comfortable air conditioned vehicle. Mr Phy is knowledgeable so we learned a lot about the history during this tour.

Lovely Day at Phnom Kulen

On this tour we first visited a lovely scenic spot with a breathtaking view. Our guide Mr Nak took a great photo of us on the cliff. After that we visited the reclining Buddha and the river of 1000 lingas. Also tried some street food near the temple. Mr Nak is very knowledgeable and his love for his country’s heritage is infectious. He was also very patient waiting for us while we took a dip at the waterfalls and also obliged us when we asked to stop by the landmine museum on the way back to the hotel.

(Nov.22)- Waterfall & 1000 lingas tour

My trip was overall great. My guide was Mr. SIEKKONG & driver was Mr. Borey. For my experience, I’ll point out the cons and pros. Cons- When seeing the 1000 Lingas, it wasn’t as exciting to see because it could be difficult to see in the water and really could just take a picture. Pros- My guide and driver were both excellent on taking care of me and had time to explore on my own time. The Kulen Waterfall was by far the best place to go because there was different levels of waterfalls and the biggest one, you could swim around and enjoy the view. The reclining Buddha was nice to see up close in the mountains and enjoy the view as well. For the future, possibly change the 1000 Lingas to something else but as for the waterfall and reclining Buddha, definitely keep those in the tour.

Book with confidence, pay with crisp, new dollars!

We originally met Sath when he picked us up from the airport. He was friendly, engaging and keen, so when we wanted a trip to visit the kulan mountains and bang mealea temple we figured cut out the middle man! A bit of negotiation via WhatsApp later and he sorted us kulan park entry tickets and transport at less than we would have had to pay via the hotel with less hassle and a later start as he picked up the tickets for us in advance. While he's not an official tour guide (yet!) he was very helpful in timing our visit so we had more chance to take photos without the hoards in the way, which is our thing, and making sure we got to see all the hiden gems of kulen. I'm sure he'd put similar thought into accomodating your thing whatever that happens to be. One thing to note with Seam Reap in general is that the local banks have started not to honour the full face value for dollars which are ripped/damaged in some way in recent months. As a result, make sure that you have either Cambodian Riel or very crisp greenbacks, or you will be asking the locals to accept an extra 10 to 15% discount at the point of payment, which can be stressfull all around, because unlike the major tourist venues and hotels, most of the locals, including Sath, can't take a card yet.
